New Beginnings for a New Year

As 2011 comes to a close and 2012 begins, it is a time of many new beginnings as well as the closing of chapters as well. For the last 4 1/2 years, we have been working feverishly to obtain not only our bachelors degree but our teaching credentials too. This year, Heather officially completed her journey and became a special education teacher. Adam is right behind her and will be beginning his student teaching this February. As our educational journey comes to a close, so does our former retail careers. Just shy of 9 years, Heather will be leaving Yankee Candle on January 21. On the same day, Adam will also be leaving his successful position at AT&T.

On January 22, we will board a plane to Brussels, Belgium, unemployed and deliriously happy! Once there we will spend a week traveling with some of our best friends, the Garcia's, while visiting our friend Anne who lives in Brussels and a couple we know in Paris. From there we will bid them Au revoir and continue our travels through France until we make our way to Italy. There we will be meeting up with Tiffany. Soon after, the 3 of us will be boarding yet another plane to the tiny island of Malta, located in the Mediterranean sea. After returning to Florence, we will end our journey in Rome, where on February 22, we will fly back to the States.

So as 2011 comes to an end, we hope that 2012 is full of exciting new adventures and experiences for you as well. What we have learned in the last few years is that dreams can come true with dedication, perseverance, and hard work. Dream big and keep in mind that the biggest limitation to achieving your goals is most often yourself. Conquer the impossible and have a wonderful New Year!

With love, Adam & Heather
